This lab was built for designers, builders, educators, developers, and teams who believe artificial intelligence should solve real problems with clarity, compassion, and respect for human judgment.
We do not build AI that pretends to care. We teach people how to design AI that genuinely supports people.
That means creating systems that guide without commanding, clarify without overwhelming, and recognize when a human should take the lead. It means building technology around the person using it—not forcing the person to adapt to the technology.
At Compass Technologies, we believe the strongest AI systems are not simply the most advanced. They are the systems people can understand, trust, and actually use.

About Stevie & Why I Founded Compass Technologies
My name is Stevie, and I am the founder and CEO of Compass Technologies, a human-centered technology company created from one core belief: artificial intelligence should make people feel more capable, more supported, and more human—not less.
Compass Technologies grew out of my experiences in healthcare, caregiving, advocacy, education, and technology. Throughout my career, I have worked closely with people whose daily lives require far more planning, coordination, communication, and support than most people ever see. One of the most influential parts of my professional journey has been working directly with individuals living with traumatic brain injuries and other complex care needs.
That experience changed the way I looked at technology.
I began to see that many people do not need another complicated app, another confusing dashboard, or another piece of technology that requires them to adapt to it. They need technology that adapts to them.
I became especially interested in the potential of artificial intelligence to support memory, communication, organization, decision-making, caregiving, education, and personal independence. I saw the possibility of creating AI systems that could function almost like an additional layer of support—helping people navigate daily life while still protecting their dignity, identity, and autonomy.
That vision became Compass Technologies.
Compass is being built around the idea of human-centered AI: technology designed around real people, real environments, and real needs. Whether we are creating tools for caregivers, individuals with disabilities, families, businesses, or professionals, the goal remains the same—to reduce unnecessary cognitive and administrative burden while helping people retain greater control over their own lives.
Our guiding principle is simple
Compassion: The True North.
That principle influences everything from the products we build to the way we approach accessibility, privacy, visual design, communication, and artificial intelligence.
I recently launched the Compass Technologies Human-Centered AI Lab, an online platform that represents another major step in that mission. The site allows Compass to begin bringing practical AI resources, templates, digital products, educational tools, and human-centered technology solutions directly to the people and organizations that can benefit from them.
The AI Lab is more than a storefront. It is the beginning of a larger ecosystem.
It is a place where the ideas behind Compass can become usable tools—resources designed to help people organize information, build better systems, communicate more effectively, and understand how artificial intelligence can be used responsibly in everyday life and work.
Compass Technologies began because I saw problems that technology could help solve, but I also saw how easily technology can forget the person it was supposed to help.
I founded Compass to build something different.
Something capable.
Something practical.
Something deeply human.
As Compass continues to grow, that mission will remain at the center of everything we create: using technology and artificial intelligence to increase independence, reduce burden, preserve dignity, and help people move through the world with greater confidence and support.
